Waitomo Energy Services Customer Trust appoints new Director to The Lines Company Board
The Waitomo Energy Services Customer Trust (WESCT) is pleased to announce Simon Fleisher will be joining The Lines Company’s Board of Directors from the 1st July. Simon Fleisher replaces Roger Sutton who resigned following his appointment to the CEO position at EA Networks in the South Island.dolore magna aliqua.
Mr Fleisher brings to the Board team a strong background in engineering with a Masters in Engineering and has served in the British Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer and then the Royal NZ Navy as the Deputy Director of Marine Engineering. Mr Fleisher is a Board member of the Engineering New Zealand – Standards and Accreditation Board. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome Simon on to the Board team and feel that his strong engineering perspective will complement the existing skill base of the governance team,” says Peter Keeling, Chair of WESCT.
Locally, Mr Fleisher’s governance experience includes directorship of neighbouring electricity network company, Waipa Networks Ltd. Mr Fleisher has also had board oversight roles for the network development associated with the Waikeria prison development.
On Waipa Networks Board Mr Fleisher is a member of the audit and risk sub-committee, and he leads the annual oversight of the asset management plan processes. There he led a board review into the company’s health and safety performance following changes in the Health and Safety at Work Act. Currently, he continues an oversight role in the rollout and service delivery of Ultrafast Broadband by Waipa Network’s jointly owned subsidiary Ultra-Fast Fibre Limited.
