Our Mission

  • To responsibly and diligently manage the Waitomo Energy Services Customer Trust’s investment in and ownership of The Lines Company Ltd.
  • To protect and enhance the value of the investment and to apply it for the benefit of Customers as described in the Trust Deed.
  • To help The Lines Company Limited in meeting its goal of being a successful promoter and provider of efficient and reliable electricity distribution service throughout the district.
  • To meet any other purpose and object described in Clause 3 of the Trust Deed dated 25th March 1993 and any subsequent amendment.
  • Our Goals

  • To maximise both shareholder and consumer value for the Trust's beneficiaries through Trust ownership of The Lines Company Ltd (TLC).
  • To promote and enable energy efficiency.
  • To optimise the value of the return on the Trust’s shareholding.
  • To review the Trust Deed and seek advise and mandate for any amendment deemed to be appropriate.
  • To implement an effective process of succession planning for Trustees and Directors.
  • To develop effective communications with our stakeholders.

    Peter Keeling

    Local resident and agricultural consultant, Peter sees this as an important time for the company as a result of changes in technology and energy sources.

    He believes in inter generational community ownership of TLC and that the financial and governance experience he brings will help guide the right balance between excellent investment for those owners and great service to all TLC’s customers.

    Erin Gray

    Of Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngā Rauru descent, Erin is passionate about people and is heavily invested in wanting to make a difference for her iwi and community.

    Erin sees The Lines Company as an important intergenerational asset that plays a large role in contributing towards the economic and social well-being of the wider Maniapoto community, both as a major employer and contributor to the economic landscape within the King Country.
